Hi,

Welcome. Where abouts in the country are you, pop your location in your profile on here.

Is it the panhard rod (the bar that goes side to side) or the trailing arm that is bent?

Neither are available from the manufacturer but the might be some spares knocking about. I know DH2 on here has an adjustable panhard rod currently for sale, but not aware of anyone selling any of the dipped trailing arms.

You might be able to find a local fabricator to make you one up using the old one as a pattern.

Post up a pic of the offending item and see what response people give.

Cheers

Rob

Is the trailing arm (one that takes the spring/shock) bent from the '' side '' impact OR is it bent towards the ground :?: If it's bent towards the ground --- then the problem will be that the either the spring is too weak (lbs rating) OR that the shock has been set too low on the bottom platform . Either of these two things will lead to the spring/shock becoming a solid item ie -- no piston travel within the shock body -------- the trailing arm would then have no option but to bend .
If it's bent from the side I'd assume the car's been curbed at speed :?:

Hi thanks for getting back to me ..I'm Bristol based.. Its was me spinning the car and bumping backwards up a curb ..muppet ! its the curved arm .. Iv straightened it by cutting a small slit in the crease and bending it back to match the other side and welded it back up .. it will be fine for now but I will weld over the top with a bit of steel plate to reinforce it .. Shocks were set up by ssc .. So should be fine and the ride is good ... is it easy to get Polyurethane bush kits for the back ..thanks again .. All the best Bazza

Once bent steel does become a little more brittle. So I'd guess it's best to get some fillets or bits welded in to stiffen it up as that arm is under some stress.

Poly bushes can be got from Wisbech Engineering. Give the a google and call them up (no point dealing with them online). Make sure you get stainless inserts not mild steel. Also worth doing a search on here as its a question I've asked a few times and theres a lot of info given on making the bushes fit correctly.
