If my plan comes together i will hopefully be going with an Independent rear end. If i do, my complete rear end will be for sale. It is a rebuilt 2.8 capri Atlas LSD live axle with new 3.77 cw&p (fitted about 500 miles ago). This is when it was refurbed and the car hasn't been used in anger since as i have been running the engine in....... again!. I only had it rebuilt as it needed to come apart to fit the CW&P. It will come with new panhard rod with rod ends, leading and trailing arms with inline adjusters on the lower arms and rod ends on the chassis ends of all the arms and poly bushes on the axle end, this makes the whole axle adjustable. The lower arms are the curved lowered ones but have a new mount welded to them or the stock shocks to be used but it this is cut off you can use the lower mounting point with the longer shocks and springs. It also has a rear disc conversion using sierra rear calipers and handbrake cable. I will come with Discs and caliper brackets but no cable or calipers. As you will see from the pictures, the rose joint and inline adjusters are the biggest i could buy and good quality ones.

It will fit under an RT with the right offset wheels but will struggle under a standard body as it is 3 inches wider than the an English.

Would anybody be interested? if so whats it worth?

Please ignore the ARB in th picture, its not included.

I imagine anyone converting to the Atlas will have to buy new rear wheels too due to the offset required to keep Tyres within the arches. They could cut and flair as I've done and keep their wheels though. Also the 3.77 diff will be way too high geared unless they have VERY big bhp . Lower geared diff's for the Atlas are few and expensive . A 3.89 with the guts to acheive it will pull 160mph . Tony , maybe Brian on the FDMC forum with his rotary beasty might buy it . If somebody wants the ATLAS but not the Stylus arms, I'd buy them as spares . There's a guy on here you might ask ---- babybertha ( Neville Powell ) . He's NHP engineering and has built Atlas axles into kit cars for people and also has lots of contacts --- worth a PM to him or ask Matt to pose the question at the next LIPHOOK Sylva meet .

thanks rob, I thought the 3.77 was quite high :? its the stock 1.6 capri ratio and they dont have a lot of grunt. It will also come with the 3.09 CW&P that i used to run in it from the 2.8 capri, that used to do 80mph in 2nd and would top out at 235 mph...... I have had quite a lot of interest from other forums but i wont be removing it for a couple of months depending on how long it takes for my irs bits to arrive. Once its out and i know whats sold i will let you know.
