Not quite as mainstream as you (as I seem to recall you work for JLR?) - a good friend of mine runs a Lotus specialist, and has asked me to go and help.
First task is dragging the website and webshop up to date! Then I can get on to more getting dirty hands on various projects.

Nice - my sort of job - borrow someone else's sports car & look after if for a while, then swap it for a different one the next week.
Not jealous at all

There are some perks to offset the poor salary! We are running three paying drivers in the Lotus race series this year, so get paid to go racing, and the prep will take a chunk of time. Also the development car (S1 Elise with 230bhp EcoBoost engine) needs finishing and miles putting on it, before it gets itself ready for the next engine transplant kit project. Should be mostly good fun, hopefully. :D

Sounds like a job I'd like too!

Enjoy Dave, salary isn't everything, happiness is unmeasurable.

Just don't forget the Stylus! :)

Yeah if you're interested in goings-on at the workshop I can post some random things, especially if I get my hands on some interesting cars.
Also I'll be running the blog on the H111 website (and "social media").

If I can not fill my garage with storing furniture from the house, I'll try to get back to do the odd day on the Stylus.

Blimey, where did 3 years go!?!
I've just read through this thread, and most of it still seems like yesterday.
Things with the Stylus haven't progressed very much, I've done a few little bits. But I do have a house with a garage now, and the Stylus is in it.
I'm going to try to get some progress on the car, but it's tricky at present between work on the house, and 60 hours a week at work!

You say '' where did 3 yrs go ? '' ------ don't leave it too long to sort your own car , I was 53yrs when I bought the Stylus kit then competed in 1999 , a 2yr build . Started competing in it straight away ----------- NOW I'm 73yrs  it goes fast and I don't mean the car :!:
