hi all
well hello to all not been in the site much this year as there as been a lot going on at this end for me and the boss as she was poorly at the start of the year (brain aneurism).I have been out in the little car and getting more confident at going further all the time as still not happy rely with all the bangs and rattles but slowly getting ride of them as finding the little things I have not done properly .my biggest thing now is the axle and here comes the question as my car is a bec I now that im going to get some backlash from the diff but to me there seams to be to mutch play in the diff can anybody tell me pls shud the be any play or what is the tolerance between the crow wheel and pinion or is it just natural free play between drive if I( explained that right) plus I still need the suspenshion set up . it seams to hold the road ok and drives well to me but im not to sure (would like it properly done) I have renewed the shocks and spring but would like it balanced. as I don't know anybody local to me I am at a lose for help

regards ian

I wouldn't worry too much about backlash , the diffs are all old so it's fairly normal . If you bring it down to me sometime , I'll set it up for you , you could stay over then back the next day :?:

yes thanks rob would love to bring it down to you . I will have to look into getting a trailer as you are so far south from me (sorry for late reply)would be nice to have somebody to look over it and advise me on where I need to improve it .it be nice if matt was thinking of a opening day of some sort for the rebirth of the stylus and I could come over then if time suited.if that's ok of corse once againe rob thanks
