Sad nobody turned up from our group after all but there was a Stylus there with 208bhp that I recognised . It was Andy Hill's old car with a 1.8lt Slark zetec and nifty gearbox. Asking price was 11000 grand from memory but this guy got it for 7000

He said it was pretty tatty so took it up to SSC and Tim fitted concave rear links and long shocks/springs plus sorted the front end out as that was ' bad ' too . It was fitted with A048R's 195 x 50 x 14 's . Certainly seemed to be enjoying himself anyway
Two other Sylva marques were there ; a bike powered Phoenix with 750 Motor club stickers over it and a Grey Mojo . Neither of them were on track when I was nor the Stylus , so no chance of a Sylva mini tour
Andy Bailey came with Stuart and me towing up there . Both sat in the ' left hand ' seat for a session or so . Stuart took my Stylus round for about 20 miles and found it a harsh shock after having driven it 4 years ago before the last stage of chassis/suspension development/1.7 steering rack plus of course the TB and power hike last year
One car stood out as really quick (or perhaps the component sitting in the drivers seat

) . A Caterham 500 --- I had a passenger so signalled him passed

(all the Caterhams used slicks

)
Didn't come out to play later on when I was on my own though so no answers for me on just how quick it or he was
We had fun eating up M3's and some Jap' turboed allsorts although I was surprised at the layout which didn't allow any all balls out cornering

Four , yes 4 , chicanes and 2 were crazily tight
Another guy , who's name I've already forgotten , came to look over the Stylus and fancies sprinting so he'll come and watch at Eelmoor next weekend 5th Oct.
I may just get a day at Snetterton , if Matt can sort it by the 9th Oct otherwise that's it for this year now ----- in the shed for a chassis check/clean etc
All it gets till next March is started/run to temp' once a fortnight
