Lens covers now re manufactured and ready for sale. more can be made if needed.

they are all clear and are made from ABS plastic not perspex. they are slightly thinner than the original ones and less than half the weight.

sorry i couldn't have tinted ones made but the tooling to make perspex moulds is expensive.

the price for the new lenses are £49 plus postage or you may be able to arrange collection.

the guy who made the lenses actually has them at his place and as i am not adding anything onto the price for myself, you can get them straight from him if you like.

his name is Andy westgate and his mobile number is 07733282947 he is happy for you to phone him and discuss postage and payment options. alternatively, contact me via this site or my mobile 07966406566 and arrange with me.

for collection, Andy lives in Lamborn, Berks and i live in Gloucester.

also available are some black carbon effect covers for those of you who race your car. they are much lighter than the original lenses and cheaper to replace than tims old ones.

Are these still available? How are they fitted?

Available via the above quoted Phone numbers. Fitting is easy enough , just 3 alloy tabs about 15mm x 50mm no more than 2mm thick . Make slots in f/glass surrounding the lights area by drilling about 6 or 8 x 3mm drill holes in a line then file flat. SORRY  this should be done first  ---- drill and countersink appropriate holes in your light covers , drill and fit rivnuts into one end of each alloy tab . Fit the alloy tabs onto the covers --- bend very carefully then mark the positions for the slots mentioned ' above ' F/GLASS them into the inner body.

Key to success is to go for a visually pleasing fit --- they are not an absolutely perfect fit so don't try to seal them . Leave a touch fit then they'll drain after rain plus it's a doddle to unscrew 3 rivnut SS mushroom heads with an allen key for cleaning. I've seen various attempts to rubber seal these and other ' kit ' manufacturers covers and they look bloody aweful :(

If you browse this forum you'll find pic's of mine done PLUS again after my off track shunt and conversion to flip front.
