Stylus and enclosed trailer wanted

Hi, we spent months looking for unlimited European insurance cover for our Stylus, as much of our time is now spent in France and Spain, and in the end gave up. Rather than leave it unused, our lovely car was sold. After it had gone, we found a company called Bewiser, who could offer unlimited Europ...

Re: I've messed up again......

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I made enquiries both in France and Spain, and it all got complicated and uncertain. The sale of our Stylus has been agreed to a very enthusiastic new owner, and we hope in a year or so to have a new project, when we have a more permanent home in France with ...

Re: I've messed up again......

The trouble is that we already have to make a dash back to MOT the van, and will soon have to do the same with the bike in the back of it, when it is 3 years old. I am reading that registering a car in Spain is quite involved, and they suggest the use of a company that specializes in doing so. I wil...

Re: I've messed up again......

Just wish we could register it in France. As I understand it, you have to register a car in France once it has been there for over 6 months, but they don't allow kit cars ....

I've messed up again......

2004 SSC Stylus for sale. We only just bought it.....and went off to Spain for 6 months. Then we were offered a place in France that we couldn't refuse, and probably won't be back for a year or more. It is not sensible to leave a 1000 mile car unused for over a year. It is being started, checked and...

Re: SSC Limited

Hi Rob, The stylus I bought was sva'd in 2004 by a chap by the name of Robert from Eastbourne. Sadly he could not drive it much due to a back problem, and since 2004 it has done just 1000 miles. It is a live axle car with a Burton big valve crossflow engine and twin dellorto 40's. Virtually all part...

Re: looking for a project

Thanks Rob, much appreciated. I will use the car mainly for road and an occasional track day. If fitting the other lamps is likely to cause a problem, I will stick with these - they don't look bad, and are like new.

Re: looking for a project

Are the perspex headlamp covers still available anywhere Rob? Mine has Porsche type headlamps, and I like the more streamlined look. If they are, will I need to fit different lamps to accommodate them?

Re: looking for a project

No it's red with 1600 X flow 711M with big valve unleaded head engine fully rebuilt. Twin 40 Dellorto carbs. It has only done a genuine 1000 miles since new. New minilites, new adjustable Gaz shocks, stainless rear exit exhaust and custom made dash.

Re: looking for a project

Agreed to buy a lovely Stylus - what a beauty - a real credit to the current owner. We couldn't believe the attention to detail. Not sure about a project as it doesn't need for anything. Can't wait to pick it up. Will post some pics if I can find out how to do it.... I selected a file and clicked on...

Re: looking for a project

Hi Alfablack, Yes, you are probably right - I am getting confused with the Fury  . Thanks for the offer of yours, but we are going to see one locally today which looks very promising. The 2.3 duratec sounds absolutely amazing. I fitted leather S-type Caterham seats in my last Stylus, and they ...
