Re: Stylus Register

Hope you get it mended soon! I'd like to see some pictures once it's repaired, and your hood has been made.

Mine is SSC02092 (Jeff Bond V8). This is also the VIN number which the dvla accepted no problem.

Re: V8 Stylus for sale!

Not much response from pistonheads at all! Just one call who never rang back. More interest from ebay.

Re: Got SVA date - 6th April

Spoke to a chap at Compbrake and he reconned to try a large MC for the fronts, so I'll give that a go. I think that's bad advice. Larger M/C = less brake line pressure (but a firmer pedal). Think about it this way: for given M/C pushrod pressure, that pressure (lb) is distributed over the area of t...

Re: ssc stylus v8

For anyone interested. I bought Paul's stylus which has Rover V8 on it, I am living in Leicester. It would be nice to meet other stylus owners around here. I am really looking forward for summer, but before that I am planning to do some work on the car. First priority is installing megasquirt, this...

Re: RSS Test Message

I've been using the RSS feeds for ages, but they don't work very well.

For example, when a topic is more than one page long, the page that displays in thunderbird is always the top of page 1, and not the post that I want. When topics are less than one page long, it works fine.

Re: body parts

I've made my own mould for a classic bonnet. It's not as good as Pete's original mould (obviously!), but it allowed me to produce another bonnet which I could cut a hole in to fit my hilborn scoop, without destroying the old one! Useful in an emergency I suppose?

Nah, no supercharger (yet!). Actually it only sticks up about 4" above the standard bonnet, so doesn't obscure the view at all.

Re: Does Club Stylus have any stickers?

Hi Jeff Yep its your car, & by the magic of Adobe converted to LHD. I chose it as it looked the dogs danglies for a "classic". 8) Thank you very much! Bonnet looks a little different now because it has one of these sprouting through it! IMG_9577.JPG Gets plenty of cold air now, and do...

Re: handbrake cable routing

The problem with this arrangement is that it requires quite a long open slot in the chassis panelling where the cable enters to tunnel, and also the cable outer has been removed by the cable rubbing on the improvised pulley. Any suggestions or pics of a better solution would be really useful. Havin...
