I don’t recall exactly, but it was around £1600.

Re: Roll cage
Nothing off the shelf I’m sorry to say. If you are going to get one made you may as well get it to MSA specs as there shouldn’t be much difference in the cost if it’s made properly, it will also give you future options to compete and would help with resale value if you decide to move it on. I had my...

Re: Cortina uprights & increasing track width
Concern appreciated Rob, cars getting a hard life on and off the track these days. I’m only just starting out in Sprinting and Hill Climbs, it’s a big step up from the autosolos I’ve been doing, but those venues suffer from pot holes or hard transitions from tarmac to concrete (the joy of old air fi...

Re: Cortina uprights & increasing track width
For reference these are the RD ones I’m considering; https://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_i ... ubjt18psc2
They do state manufactured from billet rather than cast.

Re: Cortina uprights & increasing track width
Thanks Rob.
I thought the RD ones were billet, but knowing you had them improved I’ll get in touch with Dennis.
Anyone got any info on any of the other questions?

Cortina uprights & increasing track width
I’m looking to move from Sierra uprights to cortina billet ones from RallyDesign’s while increasing the track width by 50mm. I’ll also be moving from 0ET front wheels to 18ET, these I already have. Info needed: 1. Is there any changes to steering rack position needed? Will be sourcing extenders for ...

Re: Fibreglass Parts
Hi Matt Can you tell me increase in front track the wider front rocker arm and lower wishbones provide? I’m assuming that they work with Sierra hubs..? What camber is possible with them? To get the old ones to -2.5 I had to have the wishbones extended. And a price for the above via PM would be great...

Re: Stylus soft top
It was his, but I think I bought it from Dave / DH2 when he fitted his cage, now I’ve fitted a cage I need a new one making due to the extra height.
I wish it still fitted as the colour looks great, I’m probably going to compromise with a half hood from Jill (soft bits for sevens) .

Re: SSC Rear Wing
I know Phil’s old yellow car had one (now DH2s/ Dave’s), its the mounting bracket I’m ideally after as they did a neat job of fitting without damaging the rear fibreglass, the other upside is it was a “factory option” as such I can run a wing in “Road Going” sprint classes :) The marketing hype impl...

Fortunately it’s the bolt on wing I’m after as opposed to bodywork damage!

Stylus soft top
Sylva Stylus original hood in maroon mohair with middle support frame.
In good condition, struggled to find a picture of it on the car, only one I have is during a snow foam wash.
Collect from Bristol, offers.

SSC Rear Wing
Does anyone have an SSC rear wing they’d sell?

Re: MSA compliant rollbar
What does it weigh though and what cost ? Weight is irrelevant for me; having seen the end result of a car that drifted onto the infield of Llandow and rolled multiple times I wouldn’t consider going on track without a full cage, the windscreen on a Stylus won’t take any weight and very quickly you...

Re: MSA compliant rollbar
Cage is made! I used Rob at Cyclone Racing near Radstock (Bath); design was pre-approved by MSA o be compliant with K1, we tweaked the details so that it will act as a frame for a new hood and door glass (perspex). http://locostbuilders.co.uk/upload/2IMG_2443.jpg http://locostbuilders.co.uk/upload/I...
