Re: Thanks and bye

I recall making a pair of lower wishbones for this car , with pivots for the existing ARB . The existing ones were a touch dangerous too , construction wise --- can't yet figure out how to attach photos from my laptop though on this update

Re: Retro fit independant rear suspension

I picked some parts up from Siltech a couple of weeks ago, they were talking about replacing the front suspension to take outboard shocks . We will see. Yes , they have huge experience with that setup on race cars , their own designed all round suspension was developed on track . Hence my offer for...

Re: Retro fit independant rear suspension

Thanks Rob, A timely reminder. But where to get the suspension arms and diff mounting plates? Are Siltech doing upgrades yet? I need to call in and see Matt Cheers A long way off that Kev , he's only just collected a truck load of jigs and moulds . First he'll have to build a new building just for ...

Re: Retro fit independant rear suspension

I thought about going IRS, but as the extra comfort on the road was about the only benefit I could see but it got seriously outweighed by all the possible negatives/hassles, not as good on track, more settings to mess about with the get it right, alot of chassis work to even get it fixed. If I deci...

Re: Fitting RT bodywork and soft top

Rob/Matt Thanks for that, yes they have been collected. Any hints for the soft top as I can't figure where to mount the frame. Keith , if you pm me your email address I can photo the fitting position with measurements . Can't put photos on here , it won't accept them for whatever reason . Probably ...

Re: Fitting RT bodywork and soft top

From memory and I haven't got the RT kit on mine , you lay the panels over the existing body area they will replace , checking that the edges that will not be cut are inline . Either glue gun or pop rivet the panel in that position then cut through both RT and existing f/glass panels . Then bond fro...
