Surely vented wont give more braking though, just more cooling. Or do you mean you went solid to reduce weight as you didnt need the vented?

THAT'S EXACTLY what I'm saying . Vented are overkill / don't get hot enough / maybe ok for high mileage road car. The 9mm were really great / heated up well but don't need drilling and slotting :wink:

I had hawk pads on my RX7 and they were fatasic, dusty but the stopping power was awsome and they never faded. Even at 150 mph plus stops at the ring.

The FD callipers in the picture above can be picked up for about 30 - 50 quid, they are alloy 4 pots and will take a 22 mm disc.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

I think with a car as light as the stylus it takes a lot to get any heat into the brakes but 9mm disks on a track would not be up to the job if you are pushing hard.
On my Tiger Cat I had the standard Sierra Vented disks and green stuff pads and they worked fine.
Greenstuff are crap (just a touch better than standard pads)/ if you ever try Hawk Black , you will understand why I say it :wink:
If you're going quick enough greenstuff will increase your lap time / seriously , you should try the HAWK but they must be bedded in as they tell you to.

I have to agree with Rob on this, Green stuff are shite i use to suffer with brake fade with them on my tvr and had some scary moments :shock: because of them.
Must try harder
