After suffering rear traction issues from the massive power my Crossflow puts out I thought there is only one way to improve traction and that was to follow Tyrell and WIlliams F1 ideas and go for 6 wheels.......

Re: Improving Rear traction
Nice to see that someone's actually working in the shed , cos I'm not . I normally run the engine to temperature every 3 weeks but haven't done it since well before Xmas. Got my race licence medical next week so fingers crossed Been leaving it even though I had the renewal over a month ago but can't get to test at Goodwood if I don't pass it or compete either
Nice that you have a spare axle Rob , or is it a different ratio

Same ratio (or similar) 4.11 to 4.1
The one at the back is the original Koln axle which by what I've read should have lunched itself already with the power I've put through it as it was only ever fitted to German 1.3 escorts.
The new one (one under the car) is a English and should take more power and came from DH2s car. I'm swapping over as I've had to remove the tank and it wouldn't come out without taking the axle off so thought I'd swap at the same time.

I'm making up a dashboard sub loom on the dining room table, much to SWMBO's amusement!stylussprinter wrote:Nice to see that someone's actually working in the shed , cos I'm not .
