Retro Rides 2013 at Prescott

Post by se7ensport »

Last year was a blast, great to get the car up the hill and catch up with other Stylus owners, is anyone going this year? Rob, if there is interest is there the possibility of a stand again?

If you fancy contacting them directly or someone else (retrorides) probably yes . Personally I will not be going again , after the shabby way I was dealt with between Retorides and the Prescott team itself .
ie. previously requested and agreed points , then Prescott itself completely washing it's hands of anything confirmed to me previously , like the car having to be roadgoing , no helmet use etc etc etc. That mean't that I couldn't return to our stand after the runs that I was '' graciously '' allowed with the demonstration cars. (after a very heated conversation on the startline --- which most didn't know about) So the planned idea of simply joining the line of cars whenever I chose then having great social interaction in between time on our stand was blown out of the water.
There's no reason any of you would have known but it took a lot of organisation to get that paddock position plus flagpole / eze-up etc and to and fro emails with said parties to set the day up. Basically I was totally pissed off . Hence after being told to slow down just before my last run ---- I thought ' sod it ' and went up even quicker which my passenger will confirm :x
Rant over
I'm not really grumpy :P
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Rob, I knew you'd had a few issues with the admin (think we all did), but hadn't appreciated how much.

I'm planning on going as I love the hill and now know how the day is run, if others are interested I'll speak with RR about a club stand.

That's great Alex , another willing organiser is a very good thing anyway , in no way am I suggesting others should decline because I have  Most did enjoy their day from what was said at the time .

That's a shame,it was a blast  but it was a pain you got moved and the point of the stand became a bit redundant.Thought this had the making of an annual stylus gathering.

And can confirm it was pretty hairy, shame we didnt have the camera running for the quick run
yes i know it's not a stylus......
