Just thinking ahead to jobs that need doing in the not so distant future.
My chassis was powder coated, but after 7 years it's starting to get past its best in the odd place. What's the best course of action to repair the patches with some surface rust before it gets a hold? Any tips for maintaining it normally?

Re: Keeping the chassis in good order
The crossflow used to do a fairly good job of stopping my chassis rusting!

I used to have a Land Rover like that - the engine kept the front outriggers nice and protected while a small hole in the diesel tank took care of the rear crossmember!

Simply rub the surface rust and peeling powder coat off then wash off with clean water. Dry and treat 2 coats of BILTHAMBER 80 , about an hour apart or more. Next day Hammerite -- job done.
Google it for website and info , I use it on mine plus any suspension bits I make for people .

Good advice, thanks Rob.
Wishing that Alec had chosen black powder coating rather than navy blue as it's going to look a bit patchy whatever I do, but better than ignoring it!
