Handbrake cover?

Post by roborross »

A fairly minor but esthetic issue: what to do with the handbrake?

So my handbrake mechanism is exposed and although fairly easy to box it in, I'd like it to look half decent. The lever mechanism is exposed on the passenger side of the tunnel and I'd like to make a cover that does not stand out as an obvious attempt to cover it up. I'll see if I can post a pic, but fairly sure it's the same setup as most stylus's. I'd be interested to see what other owners have in place that look reasonable. If I had a bit of the same black carpet I think I could come up with something, but I don't, so has anyone got any suggestions what to do?

At least there are two other stylus's in my area, but I can't remember what they have done. I'll be having a look next time I see the other two local cars!

Thanks
Rob

Mine's just got a bit of stiff matching carpet covering the mechanism - simple but effective. If you haven't got anything matching, what about something contrasting - perhaps a nice tartan or gingham?
