Finally got my Zetec conversion complete and it was a sunny day so had a run out with a mate and burnt up some fuel over 130ish miles. Shame another mate had to work or there would have been 3 of us in Styluses....next time though

Re: Breakfast run out
The weather looked reasonable too -- lucky you Not bad here today actually
How do you like it compared with your crossflow -- probably sound is the big difference.

Re: Breakfast run out
Weather was gorgeous, sunny all the time and not too cold
Crossflow had far more character, nicer sound and rev'd like hell and was as sweet as a nut to drive hard or slow.
Zetec is noisier, harsher on the throttle and not as much fun. It doesn't feel massively faster than the Crossflow but there is a massive difference in low down torque. No need to drop down 2 cogs to get past someone now and no need to be above 5500rpm for some power.
Still only done about 200miles with the Zetec so still getting acclimatised to it.
Got it booked in for a RR session next month, see if that smooths things out a little. Then a 1100mile road trip around Scotland.
Would have been out again tomorrow but the threat of showers and me still having no roof mean I'll be doing other things instead
