Jump starters

Post by stylussprinter »

I've been so pissed off with the engine spinning over easy enough but not firing on occasions of '' her '' choosing ----- so after lots of research bought a SEALEY RS102 Road Start , packing 600 cold cranking amps . So , if the fully charged 680 Oddysey gets lowered to less than 12 volts cranking my high compression engine , the ECU should still get it's minimum required volts if I always use the Sealey
Having said that , it's started every week or so since messing me around at Goodwood in December --- obviously doesn't like sitting on the trailer overnight. Hopefully it'll be delivered tomorrow for me to charge up the internal battery then I can use it at Abingdon this Friday.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Works a treat so now need to take the croc clips off and fit Anderson plugs to Stylus and jumper

Still got the andersen plgs I gave you years ago ??

I've got a jump battery for mine now too.

Yes , I've still got them Matt but wont have time to fit them before Goodwood's Regis Sprint . As long as I start it using the Sealey for the sound test and first practice , it'll probably be ok . It's way too much trouble getting your helmet/harness off , to undo all the bonnet pins and clips , jump it then get back into driving mode before either moving up the line or up the front of the pitlane
Once the Anderson plug is fitted along the passenger tunnel , the jumper can stay in the car right up to the greenlight then passed to '' someone ''
The female 5mm boltholes on my battery make it tricky to easily fit jump leads for the plug.
