Does the engine flex a lot? May need stiffer engine mounts (even solid!).
Guess you will be cutting an aperture for the silencer.

How was the track Day anyway - any video?

I never did like exhausts going down the side without fibreglass being cut out to keep it cool in there . Mine projects slightly out from the chassis and down , so is a little wider than the fibreglass body sill . If you want photos send me your email/mobile via PM  I was the first to do a side exit then the factory and many others followed suit .
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

No the engine doesn't move a lot normally, but on the way to the track I lost reverse gear, thinking that I had proberly Broken the plastic selector bit, I didn't think any more of it, I turns out I've lost an engine bolt so I think it's turned slightly, this would account for the burnt bodywork ( I have yet to investigate.

As for the track day, a total disaster!
As I don't like getting up too early I opted for a hotel close by, this resulted in food poisoning, so not the best start, the weather was very cold ( hovering around 0 1st thing ) with sleet and rain, I went out on my sighter laps and spun coming out of a corner with hardly any throttle and about 10mph, I decided to come back in and wait for the track to dry out and warm up a bit. The track did dry, I went out got some grip, even managed to overtake a 7 or 2 then smelt burning, so came in, I was still feeling terrible so made my way home.

Thanks I'll pm you my email address, I must admit I've always liked the side pipe look, it must be growing up in the seventies type thing

Yup that's what I hope mine will look like, I'm going to take Robs advice and pack the silencer with basalt, I only just made the sound meter on the track day by 1db with my present set up.

Since the last post I have discovered that I haven't lost an engine bolt at all but sheared both off  so out with the 90deg drill and left hand drill bits it is.
