A fun day at Goodwood
The Stylus isn't on track again till September/GOODWOOD , then October/EELMOOR , so tomorrow I'm booked in for the 'CLASSIC ALFA' trackday at Goodwood for a full day. All cars will be 1960's 1970's Alfa Coupe , Alfa Junior , Alfa Berlina , Alfa GTA and Alfa GTAm reps like mine , so quite a mix of performance levels . A couple will be circuit racers too , with big power compared to mine. Should be a great fun day
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Re: A fun day at Goodwood
Fabulous weather , way better than forcast but SO hot inside the car until actually getting on track . Did 5 sessions , all with passengers , so about 75 miles at 16 mpg which I thought was pretty good for a heavy car with passengers , pulling 7000 rpm most of the way around . Matt Downes was in the 2nd session with me , where we past all the cars in front within our 6 laps . Stuart was in first , so was the first one to find out what it would be like with only a ' lap belt ' --- obviously I put a race seat and harness in my side which holds me pretty tight . Not the best belt to have when at race pace around Goodwood .
Really nice due to the day being for just classic Alfa's but hell on my screwed shoulders , so much more lap time than competition sprints.

A nice Photo of Matt Downes in the passenger seat getting ready for a session on track with me --- curticy of my son while in photographer mode .Stuart did risk the first run though , not quite knowing how secure he'd be with a static lapbelt
Ah --- board quota reached , need to delete some pics first

Re: A fun day at Goodwood
Another fun day tomorrow , at Goodwood's fabulous race circuit , sadly not in the Stylus (ROPS msa regs) . CLASSIC ALFA , the Alfa classic parts and restoration company , are again putting this day on , all classic Alfa's as before . Weather forcast isn't great but hopefully I'll get some dry laps after 11-00am ish
My daughter will be passengering with me this time , a first for her on track with ' Dad ' , or even in the car on road Stuart will give her some pointers no doubt to scare her a bit more NOTE to self ------ take it easy
Hoping to get some laps without passengers , to have some quick laps against a few of my mates with more grunt though
