Another one is alive :)

Post by Nissanman »

Well - after a lot of major head scratching the Nissan sr20det engine on an aftermarket ECU fire up last night, and I'm well chuffed. The wiring on this engine is challenging to say the least!!!

Anyway - evidence is here on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF7kal1NKjs

Now I really get on and finish it - booked in on the GOME rally to Spain in September, so it better be finished :D :D

When's Llandow???

Hope to get her finished by early summer so I've got a good few weeks to iron out any niggles before the rally, that's my only real goal.

Not sure why the YouTube isn't working - it did earlier ...... I'll have another go at it.

What will take the time now is waiting for other people - gotta have an exhaust made, gotta get a man to make me a boonet bulge and widened rear arches better than I have (I hate fibregalssing), then get it sprayed and have wheels made for it by revolution. Apart from that it's just a bit more wiring for the dash and do the interior, shouldn't take too long - hahahaha ..... :D :D

Now I can actually stop sulking and finish it off and WHUP your sorry asses at Llandau... :P

Fighting talk innit...

Well done indeed! Looking forward to seeing you both in action. Nissanman, what's planned for the external look? Colour(s) Stripe(s), stripped-out or comfy?

Steve.

Sorry, missed this question earlier!! She will be red with offset white stripes (probably!), 5 spoke classic revolutions (235 on the rear) with R888, interior will be comfy with alcantera dash, full carpets, leather Caterham seats and a nice powerful heater!

Should be finally going to paint next week, just the final bit of rubbing down to do as the body is just about done....

Yes, but i also wanted the VAE value reduced as i'm not running an I A C valve, so i doesn't overfuel on start up,
i just hope i don't have to deal with Weber again

It does sound nice though.
