Had a though after fitting and using a road angle to company motor as it displays the speed and is very accurate, if you fitted one in the dash and fitted the external gps how do you think you would fair during sva I no it won't work on the rollers but on the road it would be ok Not planning to do this but just though about while driving

GPS Speedo
Talking theoretically, I have thought before that any vehicle mounted GPS would be greatly enhanced by the addition of a gyoscope to "fill in the gaps" in the satelite signals, Alec, would you know if that was practicable ?

i suppose in principle yes it could work as that is how aircraft inertial navigation systems work. not sure how you'd go about setting it all up and i don't think it'll pass the sva in the near future but who knows, it would definately be more accurate than a cable driven speedo just by the nature of its design.
nice idea. keep me posted on this one!
