Stylus showing off it's dynamic abilities

Post by stylussprinter »

Hello all ,
Many thanks to '' madmaninshed '' for supporting me at GOODWOOD today , along with four or so other friends of mine. The STYLUS had a damn good day with only two cars bettering it's time. A racing PORSCHE with mega grunt and a single seater , both did times in the sub 90 sec's area. The others were there practicing for the revival meeting and a few just testing like me. Quite a mixture , racing CAPRI'S , A35 RACING , 2LT SINGLE SEATERS , JAG' XKI20 RACING , DB4 RACING , CATERHAMS , WESTFIELDS , GEMINI V8 , various saloons M3 , ALPHA , DOLOMITE SPRINT etc etc. Also historic motorbikes practicing for the revival so I was told , very quick pulling 170 past the pit lane.
Last year the best time I'd ever done at GOODWOOD was 97 sec's , in July . The racing team (TOED RACING) clocked me today at 94 sec's best. I past most things during the 10 laps slots we had but the last slot I past the two cars in front of me (30 sec's apart at start) twice so the STYLUS got quite a lot of attention .
10 of those laps were with a lady passenger who was unwise enough to ask if I would give her a ride !
So I was overly concerned that I might have lost my ' edge ' having not driven it in anger since Oct' 2005 --- I was a bit edgy till I'd done a couple of laps then it all slotted in to place.

Photos to follow from Dean , my friend with a FURY ------ should have built a Stylus ! :D :D :D :D
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Hi Rob,

Great to meet you, and was VERY impressed. The Stylus was extremely quick and smooth through woodcote and the chicane where we were watching, and looked amazing. 8)
Sorry I couldn't stay longer, but had a customer to visit in Petworth.
3 of the bikes were doing 170 past the start line with the front wheels lifted....complete lunatics. but great to watch.

Hope you enjoyed the day. See you again soon. Look forward to the photos.

Regards,

Paul.
