2 Stylus' on Pistonheads

Post by Werner Van Loock »

You read it correctly, 2

Both quite old, being 1995 and 1979 :?: :?:

So the last one might not be a Stylus.

Very strange . The first car I know of but the second one's bullshit plus £7000 is absolutely bonkers . No stylus was designed before 1994 or 5 and even then only on Fury chassis . He can't be serious asking that for an old crossflow 12 yrs old car
Rob.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Ah  I hadn't thought of that  There's an article in TOTALKITCAR May /June copy which says Jeremy Phillips designed the STAR in 1982 , then going on to all the other Sylva marks we know. The article is from when Tim and I went up to CADWELL PARK in Feb. Rob.

Yes , he's the man behind all the cars from the begining , no one else. As he came up with each new idea/model , he raced them in the 750 club to sort any snags not fine tuned in his original design. A very unassuming character but talented . The striker was the only car that Caterham were bothered by on track. Hence the Caterham only race series . He used very basic donor bits and made them work due to his canny flair for geometry and what makes cars handle.
