Been looking for gauges for a while now and I was thinking of digital dash untill I came across these:
tacho
speedo
But they're only 55mm diameter, will they be big enough?
What do you think. At least it's a lot cheaper then a full set of classic gauges or a digidash type.

I had real issues with digital display guages in my old seven, they look fantastic in the garage, but unreadable in day light. Some are better than others, before buying I would want to see how well they work in an open top car where the sun light will pretty much always be on them.
Other option would be to recess them into the dash by a few inches so that they are always in the shadows.

I agree with Alex but that is a good price, I got mine from the states 6 Gauge Electronic Set:$249 and with exchange rate so good just now a good deal. http://www.dolphingauges.com/5_and_6_gauge_sets.htm The only problem is they don't meet SVA so have had to keep them with in the steering wheel exclusion zone

We're - flat - broke, but hey! we do it in Stylus!
Re: gauges
I think in a road going car (especially in a classic) a set of analogue gauges is the way to go with maybe a larger rev counter.
