work ?

If it does work there'll be a hell of a lot of leverage on the f/glass wings mate . Tim fitted one on the RT in the begining but very soon took it off
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

I might run it at Llandow as it is only a short track to see if it does work, if not it's somewhere to put our cups of tea instead of on the floor 8)

apparently there is more than one use for a rear wing then. the lads at work called it my 'portable ironing board'. i promptly reminded them of the cars they were driving and they quickly went quiet!

i'm trying mine at Llandow too. we'll see if its worth it!

Head

Post by Cerberus »

Head is off and water is definately washing no2 exhaust valve, but i can't see where the gasket has gone (bugger) it looks like its had a recent gasket, the head seems to be flat so i'm thinking whoever has re-used the old head bolts, fingers crossed a new gasket and bolts and i will see you thursday.

Maybe it was simply a case of under or uneven torque or no sequence :?: Hope it goes right for you Phil. Should've left the old Manta lump in there till you got your intended beast ---- a shame

The head is being skimmed and will be ready lunchtime so i will re-fit this afternoon, i will call you later for a chat after i have loaded the car, we have decided to take the tent thingy which is 6*3 metres and will take about 30mins to erect as there is no shelter there it will keep us dry and somewhere to work if need be, how much room do you need in the car for your bits and bobs :?:

well i haven't left yet. i'm leaving at about half 5 in the morning. i'm sure the sun will not be out for me, it never is! as for a roof? um.... i have a coat and an umbrella. will that do?

i drove it in the winter and just wiped the frost from the seats. that was fun. haven't got a heater either. ah well!

good luck testing it on the way tomorrow. see you there! hopefully!
