Who's bought SSC?
I've heard that Tim is nolonger the owner of SSC, does anyone know any more info or know who the new owners are (Rob?), if this is the case what will happen to the current outstanding orders and items that people have paid for?

SSC
I've been trying to contact Tim on some of your behalf's re -- parts etc from this forum and normally get a response after trying all his numbers -- text etc . Admittedly I have known of his various problems for some time but it was a private matter and therefore did not give details via the forum.
I had hoped at some point he would do that himself after speaking with him after Llandow . To answer the question posed here ----------- I know absolutely nowt regarding SSC being in some other ownership --- further more , Tim's not contacted me regarding my text etc etc on your behalf --- for those of you who've been asking where the hell is he . Malcolm was the last person I intervened for with some success but that was before Llandow
Whenever there's been a gripe re - contacting Tim , I've pushed it through to let him know but not said so on here. I think the reason I've had replies in the past is because being self employed , I can keep trying the phone at various times in the day and evening. Sorry if I've not conveyed all I've known BUT these things have been personal so I'm not at liberty to broadcast his business on here.
Believe me , I have really tried but it's difficult when the person concerned is a friend.
So I'm in the same boat as the rest of you ---------- it could be true and maybe not --- I just don't know

DIFFICULTY IN CONTACT
WELL WHAT A DAY!
I HAVE FOUND TIM (AND OUR KIDS CAR CERBURUS -THANKS )
I have been away in Wales on other matters, and didnt know of these other postings.
Having quickly read them I have to say that I find myself very much in agreement with Rob re Tims private matters. To use the old saying its for him to do his dirty washing in public not us.
I do ,however realise that everyone on here deserves an idea ,so I will try to "square the circle " between the two notions.
Firstly Tim has had a number of bad events in his life over the last 5 to 6 months in particular .I am in my fifties and ,of course that means all these things have happened to me too ,so I understand he is pissed off. What he cant do at the moment is see his way out of it.I ,and most of the rest of us know he will but that means time doesnt it ?
One of the things that is getting him down at the moment is the state of the kit car industry .It is very slow and it is no secret that yet again he is doing other work in the construction industry to keep money coming in .That said he is making what I would say is steady (slow ?)progress on my brothers car.in fact some parts were delivered for it while i was there!
I have no reason to think at this stage that he has sold what amounts to the intellectual property that is SSC(Bloody hell did I write that!).Having said that well if you were to ask me as an honest man what I really Thought of as the future prospects for Tim and the industry I would have say not absolutely certain to carry on -but no stronger than that.I have little doubt that Tim has found himself in a situation where he has not got control and as such is coming across as very badly organised .
for what its worth he also told me that though he didnt feel up to going to lLandow he enjoyed seeing those who did .
Finally does any of this mean he will get better at contacting .Well perhaps not immediately but I am hopeful .If any of you wish to send me a private message i will happily respond .For you Rob (particularly as you have always b een really helpful man towards me),I hope you would have couched your post in similar terms .Regards malcolm

Building for older brother .
at least we all sort of know what is going on now. the kit car industry is slow and several companies have gone out of business recently because of it. just hoe he does get on and respond to those who are awaiting parts etc so we dont all end up going else where and makes the situation worst for him
reply
thanks for the reply .you are absoluteley right.
As a group of people The majority on this site are really patient(God can you imagine what e bay feedback would be like!).Tim ,I hope, will come to see that and do better.I cannot give you a true indication of when that may be much as I would love to.regards malcolm

My attitude always too I tried the same attitude whilst building, towards the previous owner but the loyalty was not reciprocatedPete&Matt wrote:we have always preffered to get our stuff through Tim. That way we know its the correct stuff and he makes money from it!

SOLD ?
After all this doubt (and time , since previous posts) The answer is NO he has not sold SSC but is not operating it full time. He's dealing with parts already ordered as and when he's got time and energy . Energy being his worst enemy after such a physical blow
