GOODWOOD REVIVAL 2007 !

Post by stylussprinter »

Matt's driving VIP's around in vintage AC's for this event so I'm going too as his '' assistant '' ha ha ha
Hopefully I'll remember to snap a few pic's from the paddock if they let me in there in my supposedly ' 50 ' s dress code
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

You lucky man, we went a couple of years ago and it was fantastic, we were priviledged to see the last fly by with two spitfires and a lancaster together (not allowed anymore due to insurance bureaucracy) you have to get dressed up in period clothing or you will feel the odd one out.

:D

Rob are you at the speed trials this year :?:

I didn't enter in time , last entries was 26th July and I was still finishing the refit SO NO TRIALS for me  Would have been nice to see what the new set up could have produced on a 1/4 mile. Last year I did a 13.38 sec's which was actually quicker than some of my class ----------- GT 40's and the like

I'll get Matt to photo the ' 50 ' s gear I'm wearing ------------ some would say '' just go in your usual clothes ''

REVIVAL

Had a really great day. Took me back to the 60's when my father took me there regularly to see cars exactly like them race. In those days you could walk round the paddock even on grand prix days to watch the cars being worked on. Stirling Moss was not nearly such a ' nice ' chap as he appears now ------------ swearing at his mechanics cos something wasn't just so  Wouldn't work these days , would it
Many thanks to Matt for the invite . The pic's I took are on a link which Werner will put on here when he has the chance. No track pic's as my camera's not up to long distance so no point.
SPOT MATT(with wife) & ME :?:
