Cutting Headlights

Post by Pete&Matt »

Does anyone have any good tips for cutting the front headlights out in the body? Have been thinking of drawing around the fiberglass bowl that is fixed in place, then placing this onto the body and cutting round it. Looks a bitch of a job as its an oval and isnt an equal distance all the way around

Cheers

cut it roughly and then use bridging fibreglass to get the shape right, mine went in and out a number of times before I was happy with the alignment and finish.

If you have SSC bowls cut them down to almost nothing at the top (putting the light unit as far forward as poss) this will give you the best clearance for wheel / tyre options in the future.
