Windscreen Rubber Alternative

Post by phils »

Hi, I have got hold of an origional elan screen in excellent condition off ebay for £30!. I have also got a professional installation kit ( primers, sealant etc) and am going to have a go and fit the screen myself. Does anyone know an alternative to the ford transit windscreen rubbers which are now becoming hard to get hold of and expesive, perhaps some form of "generic" trim would suffice?

I've just got generic finishing trim on mine, had to cut the lip of of the back of it as otherwise it pushed the screen too far forward.

I got it from autowindscreens, I just gave a mobile guy a call as they keep a roll of it in there vans to finish most windscreens.
