I need a new one, where is the best place to get one, or i could make one, i know it is difficult but if someone has a VX lump and would measure the one they have where's Andy B when you need him

very difficult subject , all depens on engine output , the space it needs to go into , my engine output 225bhp ,
exhaust manifold 4-2-1 1 7/8 primary dia x 24 inches long, 2 1/8 dia secondary x 18 long , 2 1/2 outlet ,
I was compromise on the lenght of the secondary pipes due too space or the lack of it in my case
have a look at SBD MOTORSPORT WEB SITE goes into great detail , and how important the leghts are
my system was built by Cheeseman Products of Woking to SBD spec hope this helps

I had already read the SBD site, it doesn't give any dimensions for length so i thought i would ask you, although i'm running less power i have 1.5" pipes on a 4-1 manifold, i reckon i could release a bit more power with a decent 4-2-1 manifold, the only trouble is getting one made locally, your quite lucky where you are as it's F1 country and lots of engineering/fabrication places near you, thanks for the info i will go with those sizes and see what happens.

I know 4-2-1 is supposed to offer a wide range of power and 4-1 is supposed to give a higher bhp peak but at the cost of bhp spread.
I'm getting a new manifold made soon (for zetec) and was pondering which way to go.
Was thinking 4-1 for simplicity and space

You don't want a 4-2-1 on your 2lt zetec with the dimentions I gave you . You wont get the power . Dunnell never uses that formula for zetecs. Vauxalls like it though .
