dragster build

Post by alecmartin19 »

totally not stylus related but car related so i thought maybe someone on here will be able to help!

me and a few lads from work are building a drag car with a motorbike engine!

we need to find as many dragster part suppliers as we can as they are few and far between in this country. even down to things like wheels and tyres we need help!

if anyone has any ideas or knows of anywhere i'd appreciate a website or telephone number!

cheers!

hi everyone! cheers for your responses! all help is appreciated!

yes Rob i have been to sandy land! i'm probably off there again soon! its such a lovely place for a holiday! NOT!!

bike engine'd dragster is different! as most of you will be aware most of the top dragsters either have big V8's or are bikes!

this will be a car with a bike engine mainly because they are light, already have a gearbox, cheap to buy and tune and very simple in operation!

also if anyone knows anything or anyone who can help with running an engine on methanol rather than petrol that will be a good help!

the chassis will be built by us but pretty much everything else will not!

hopefully it will see us into the late 7 second quarter miles eventually!
