I'm sorry to say my fabrication guy who had agreed to make these for me has come up with a damn silly price so by the time I'd fettled them , coated them and fitted polyurethane bushes they'd cost £165 a pair to me . Running around sorting it all and no profit somehow doesn't appeal to me .
SO for the immediate future I can't do them. Perhaps after my spring work rush cools off I'll have time to try another avenue. The price I had in mind was around the £120 / £135 mark to you complete with bushes.
VERY sorry I've not come up with the goods guys

Not easy from a distance . They need to see the link for a pattern plus I was making alterations to the material size and dimentions which would have enabled a much easier fitment without the need for buffing the poly's . Over time and shock bush wear , the bottom of the shock(alloy piece)was rubbing on the link , wearing away the powder coating on mine. For this reason I was slightly redesigning them including better water outlets from the bottom shock mountings .norma wrote:Thanks for trying, I do a lot of work with a good fabrication company - would be happy to get you a price if you like....?
My link from one side's been off the car for months so will have to get it back on before the first event this season.

I have been looking at the rear lower radius arm and was planning to DIY it, after looking on the forum and seeing that you were looking to make some I thought it might be worth waiting - that and I was not going to do the upgrade until I got some use out of the new stuff that has not seen the light of day yet.
I can source some oval tubing for the arm, for the bushes I was going to source the same rod as used on the R1ot by JP so I can fit the bushes he uses - though I am looking for a polybush equivalent (have measured and drawn up the standard bush on Autosketch ready to send to a company).
I have not drawn up the arm yet as I have not had any time to get dimensions, I was going to crank the arm by cutting out a fillet, bending and welding it up - then put some strengthening fillets on. The option of just bending the arm would mean I would have to find a fabricator with that capability, but feasible (still using fillet plates to strengthen).
Looking at the photos on the site of a set or arms, the fillet plates have been used as the pickup point for the shock. Is the enough gap to slide in the shock between the plates? The metal stock I am looking at is 33mm X 22mm wide with a wall thickness or 2mm. Though the supplier has 50mm X 25mm and 60mm X 30mm.
I see you note re: the allowing for play in the bush of the shock as it is earthing on the arm.
The material cost for the arm material is below, I will find out the specification for the bush holder pieces and I know I could get a batch made and no or little cost (friend machine shop with an auto feeder on a lathe!). So I could get materials and bits together. The fillet plates will need drawing and specifying as a lot of suspension load will be taken/transferred (I'm not an engineer so don't know the calculations); would be a nice job for a laser cutter (no not got one of them).
