Seems a bit quiet..... Where is everyone ??

Post by MattD »

Has she locked you in the shed ??

I waiting for my eagerly anticipated ali fuel tank. Due in the post today.
Fuel injection job, should cure the root cause of my multiple blown fuel pumps since it first did it at Llandow.. :(

I've also got her MGF with a blown head gasket to fix before Sunday morning.....
(She's catching the bus & NOT impressed !)
Cos I'm doing the London-Brighton in an E-Type Jaguar on Sunday, 300 Classic Jags in convoy. 8)

I'm still skulking around.
Got my Westfield back on the road now after some winter tweakage, just an MOT and a few tweaks left before I head off in it to Scotland in 3 weeks :D

A K-series with blown head gasket? has a single one of these engines ever made it past the 50k mark without this problem? case of a good idea poorly designed! :x

Im still having engine prob's. Fitted new fuel reg & injectors. This was good until the engine got hot. Then I noticed that the reading from the throttle pot started jumping everywhere. So am waiting for new pot.

Whent to Estoril for MOTO GP. Just packing the bike now as Im on the ferry in 1 hr for a long weekend in France.

Enjoy your weekend.

The cars gone back to the sprayer to have the tube resprayed as the colour didn't match the bonnet (silly sod sprayed them at different times), should be back next week.

Couldn't be working on it anyway as I'm in Germany on business this weekend.

BUT - did drive the Stylus up a long private lane where the sprayer is based, got her right up through the gears, very exciting if a little unnerving as the steering isn't set up and it was rather wet!

Should have her back on Wednesday and I can set about finishing her off......
