Update on progress towards SVA.

Update on progress towards SVA.
I MOT'd the car today just to make sure there is nothing silly to fix before going for SVA.

First time the car has turned a wheel on tarmac.

Well it is a fast car, brakes need a lot of bedding in, rears are locking up first and I thing I adjusted my bias bar to full front - thing I will adjust it full rear to see if I have just go things the wrong way round!! Brakes were ok for the MOT test, but it might be a combination of brakes needing to be bedded in and using "Green Stuff" pads (that came with the car from Pete) not being the greatest.

I am using the original Sierra steering wheel at the moment that is far too big (only on till SVA done), it makes the car a bit twitchy and gets in the way for gear changes as leg fowls the wheel when using the clutch - that is another reason why it is a bit twitchy, as knee steers when changing!!

I have two things to sort:
Headlights, as cannot adjust them low enough (Porsche type), that is partly because the car ride height at the front is too high.
Petrol filler cap not sealing - this is a new item(mocal aero style) I got from Pete.

So ride height is the first thing I am going to sort - Thanks to Rob, I have the information to set this up but I am going to need new springs to do it. The springs that are on currently are too long and I cannot adjust them any further. I am going across to the kit this afternoon to measure the current ride height and spring lengths for front and rear. The rear on the car was on the bump stops a few times on my trip to the MOT station, so I think front will go to back and new fronts sourced.

As for the filler then if anyone knows where I can source 'O' rings then I will get the size off the filler cap tonight and put an extra 'O' ring on to try and resolve the sealing issue.

Getting there,
