Porsche-style headlights

Post by Sook »

Afternoon all,

the Stylus is nearly back to roadworthy status, although it did spend all the good weather sat on the drive while I tried to find the origins of the various suspension components. Turns out the only non-Escort Mk 2 part was the upper ball joint, the rest was all as per the donor! Never mind, it's all useful info!

Next up is fixing the fuel gauge so it actual gives the correct reading instead of between 1/4 and 3/4, but that's just a straight swap.

So onto the real reason for this post. The chrome surrounds on my headlights have seen better days and I want to replace them. I don't think it will be possible to just change the surround (that would be far too simple!) so it looks like I'll need to get some new headlights. Does anyone know if there are specific units which fit the Stylus or can you fit any 7" units?

Hi Dave

I am currently fitting standard 7" headlamps but this is involving cutting the area out and rebuilding to suit

There was a post just recently where someone had used the Polo headlamps which look good.
