Stylus Weight

Post by MattD »

Was asked a while back, how much my Stylus weighed.

Just got around to getting it done on the local council weigh bridge.

She weighed in at 610 Kgs with half a tank of fuel & toolbox in the boot,
which is about 30/40 up on the expected (hoped for ?!) 575 ish.

That's for a aeroscreened Zetec powered car, 170 BHP = 280 BHP/Tonne
but better than my original SVA build of Fiat Twin Cam
640 Kgs, 120 BHP = 190 BHP /Tonne

Think Rob's car is more like 400 BHP/Tonne, scary !!

Anybody else put theirs on the scales ??

Cool... 400 FLHP in 700 KGS = 570 BHP/Tonne. 8)
Basically twice the power to weight of my car.

Hope you can keep it on the blackstuff !!

it wont be that much to start with, i am going for the dyno session on thursday, i am aiming high at 300 flwhp but i reckon i should see 260 - 270 on the stock turbo. That will give me the chance to sort the suspension and brakes, one i am happy with that, everything is in place for a bigger turbo and i could go much higher but like they say "power is nothing without control" or traction  so i will see how it goes. Fingers crossed it will survive the dyno session.

~630kg with a full tank and some random crap in the boot, 1300 xflow, screen and hood :)

More like 740Kg once I'm in it!
