Classic Stylus on Pistonheads....Mine

Post by MattD »

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/629661.htm

Decided to do something, I said I never would...

Its a sad day... :( but after a lot of thought, I've decided to part with my Stylus, assuming I get the right offer of course.
The Stylus is a great car, & mine is well sorted & balanced. Overall a great car I will miss.

Its got to the point where its spend £5K on the Stylus to get it's performance where it deserves, or try something new.
But anyone can swap an engine & gearbox.
I've realised I miss the build aspect & really fancy having a go at something else. R1ot i think.

Anyway, first we'll wait & see the response to the Ad !.

Lowered the car to £5K on Pistonheads now, that's a lot of car for the money !
& cost considerably more than that to build.

If it doesn't sell at that (or there abouts) may well keep it.

Tis a nice car for the money! i would not budge on that figure. If and but's:

If it had screen, if it was march time, if i`d built my new garage- i`d probably rip your arm off. Good luck.

Guys

After some soul searching, I have decided to hang on to my Stylus.

I really couldn't face parting with it for some of the silly prices people were offering.
I'd rather keep it, than give it away :|

That, and I've realised (with the help of Rob & other's) that I have some unfinished business with it.
I put a lot of time & effort into setting the car up & not really used it.
I think I'll spend next summer competing with it, taking it to Le Mans, etc.
Its time to develop the driver, rather than the car !

I don't think the dream of a new Sylva build has gone away, I'll just do it over a longer time period.
Perhaps I'll drop a bike engine in the Stylus !!

Take it over to the French mountains near Strasbourg on the German border. I had hours of fun ripping up them in my scooby last summer. There was loads of 7's there too going up and down all day! That will make you keep it!!

If some people fancy something like that. I could arrange something for next summer.

My father in law has a vacation house in Malvoisin About 13 people can sleep in a bed and more if being creative.

Once the striker is on the raod I'll be exploring the neighborhood, I already know some nice roads. And there's also a yearly road bike race nearby, might arrange somehting in the same weekend.

Just found out there's 2 since 2006, one classic bike race and one superbike kind of race.

Here's a flyer of this years classic race.

And some race pictures:

here's the route from the house to the open road track
