Hello Paul,
Not seen you since Stoneleigh 200 & :?: ish  when your car was featured on SSC's stand  If you get a chance try to get the new guy to register on clubstylus.be . It's good to keep all the SSC cars on the forum even if we lose some owners
Rob.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Hi Paul

I finally got myself registered on the forum. I hope things are going well in scotland and you don't miss your old car too much..

For anyone interested. I bought Paul's stylus which has Rover V8 on it, I am living in Leicester. It would be nice to meet other stylus owners around here. I am really looking forward for summer, but before that I am planning to do some work on the car. First priority is installing megasquirt, this is quite imporant for me as I am software geek :P. Also I am planning to make flip front for it, there isn't enough clearance to change carburettor to injection manifold/plenum chamber without modifying the bonnet, while at it I might as well make it flip front. Currently I have done absolutely nothing besides of buying lots of tools, and research on what I need to do in order to install the fuel injection..

Originally I was planning on buying Westfield Seight or another seven with V8. Stylus just looks nice car and it is not a copy of anything, that appealed to me as I am not into replicas( I don't count seven's as replicas ). I am a little worried on popularity of the car and getting any parts for it, hopefully I can get everything I want done to it..

Do you guys have any other "registration" to the club besides registering on the forum?

Welcome teemu :) Glad you registered on here , it's great not to lose touch with other Stylus's that some of us know plus it's the best source of info of any description for the marque
Someone will normally have an answer to your questions , either chassis related or specific questions regarding V8's in Stylus's . There are three that come to mind running V8's.

There's no other registering needed to be a clubstylus member and no cost as yet. Werner , Belgium located , runs this website for us and has absorbed all costs personally 8)

We did run a trackday in 2007 for Stylus owners only which I organised but that's the only cost to owners so far. I'm intending to hold a meet , eat , drink and tyre kick day at my address sometime during 2009 though  ------ I'll put it on the EVENTS section closer to the time. It's possible to park 4 Stylus's in the front of my garden and 6 in the back garden .

Roll on the summer

Welcome Teemu.

Your right about the Stylus - better than a 7

This is Club Stylus, there is no other registeration. Werner runs this website FOC, so there are no membership fees.

Hi Teemu, welcome to the forum! Glad to see another V8 owner!

I had bonnet clearance issues too, especially when I fitted this! Solution was simply to cut a hole in the bonnet (dont have any pictures of that yet) Prefer carbs to injection any day ;-) Actually I also run megasquirt (actually megasquirt-n-spark extra), but only to run the ignition. Makes hell of a difference compared to the dodgy lucas opus ignition.

If you're after any v8-in-a-stylus advice, just ask!

Jeff
