Prescott Hillclimb 23 + 24 May

Post by alecmartin19 »

anybody interested in going to prescott hillclimb on 23rd or 24th of may for La vie en bleu?

its a meeting of french stuff but last year was good as they had 5 Bugatti Veyron's going up the track at speed.

this year there will be veyron's , an EB110 and Ayrton Senna's old renault F1 car.

Let me know if anyone intends to go. i'll be there for sure.

Its £12 in advance or £15 on the gate. Bargain!

Good on yer 8) That's exactly what I did just after building mine but did it at Gurston Down . Broke the drivers side bottom wishbone exiting ' Ashes ' , after getting on the rumble strip :o . Not before having lots of fun with the first 3 runs though 8)
It did serve to highlight a weakness in the original wishbones . They were much thinner and welded to a heavier threaded insert and it was that join that sheared off behind the weld . P.P told a different story but not long after that the wishbones were redesigned

Let us know how it all goes :P

I was at Gurston Down on Sunday , great venue , brilliant cars , sunshine , cold beer in the bar afterwards  . helped Steve pack up as Kim had her ankle in a cast , Steve had driven the hill since 1999 when he had the Jade , said he lost his way up the hill  , my brother suggested he better put a sat nav in the car  if Rob gets a entry on the 19th july this is a great place to be introduction to hillcliming , always better when someone you know is competing

cheers Andy

Gurston certainly does concentrate the mind . There's no time to drive it , as you come to it , so it has to be in your head before you get off the line  It's mind over matter OR ------ remove brain and install ba ----- ls
