Ok as i have written elsewhere, the engine modifcations are working well, but I now have a big problem with the brakes, had complet brake fade after 2 laps. Current brakes are from my origonal donor (lotus Sunbeam) with a biased peddle box, need to put something big on the front, quick. Still have the drums on the back, and converting to disk will be a bigger job for the spring.
Is there anything big and vented that will bolt on amd keep the 108 4 hole PCD? (I have 4 sets of 108 wheels and tyres and don't need/want to change these) Slicks are on 15x& inch and wets are 14x6, could replace the wets at apush but 108 are not easy for me to buy so would prefr to fit under the 14's
Brake Upgrade
Re: Brake Upgrade
I use Wilwood http://www.wilwood.com/Products/001-Cal ... /index.asp for sprinting. Got them as a kit from Rally Spares http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/index.php? ... 62_563_567 if that helps.

Re: Brake Upgrade
Look at HAWK's website . I use their Hawk Black but there's a newer version now that modulates better plus their other even more serious circuit pads. After fitting Hawk Black to my WILLWOODS(now OUTLAW)and being used to '' others '' race pads , I had to accellerate into the first corner that I braked for ---- having braked in the same place as previously
If you need a quick fix go for sorting the pads first

Re: Brake Upgrade
Plan is to machine our own bell, and then machine a set of Evo disks and calipers to fit, apprantly my mechanic can do that fro 200 pounds, then get ahuge choice of pads available.

Re: Brake Upgrade
But are standard EVO callipers iron or alloy There's no way I'd fit iron callipers on a light competition car . Turn in and exit will be compromised from optimum and therefore set-upBerw wrote:Plan is to machine our own bell, and then machine a set of Evo disks and calipers to fit, apprantly my mechanic can do that fro 200 pounds, then get ahuge choice of pads available.
