Motorsportevents are running an Abingdon trackday open pitlane on the 6th of August. Anyone else on here going other than 'delboy' . I only learned last weekend that he bought Bob Wilson's beautifully built Stylus and it still looks great. Raceline built 1.8lt Zetec top spec 193bhp

I'm going along to spectate plus an invitation to pedal the car :P
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

A little damp but not really raining much . One car got on fire --------- told you I hate turbo's but Derek's Stylus is going fine :D
Had a little blast around for several laps (thanks Derek) then left it to Derek just in case I forgot who's car it was  Few pic's but the track was too distant for good on track pics.

Yeah it was a great day. Thanks Rob for showing me how a Stylus should be driven around a track :!:

The pads I was telling you , that would transform your Willwood calipers into real stoppers are Hawk DTC30 but if you can't get them then Hawk Black . Cambridge Motorsport will supply them , just google for their website
When coming up behind cars braking for the 90 degree bend at the end of the straight , pressing the pedal harder on your Stylus had me thinking I was way too late getting onto it :o So used to my DTC30 's pulling me up in 50yds from 120mph with just a light touch :o

The R888's on your 14 x 6 rims gave endless grip and will get even better :D

I'll check the pads out, but don't you think they'll unbalance the braking as I'm still running drums on the back :?:

The R888's gave so much grip...... I thought I was going to fall out of the car on the long left-hander coming onto the runway :!:

That's all I've got at the rear on mine just drums  Your pads just fade under pressure even with massive physical effort ------ I was looking for gaps in the cones to dive through as we approached the 90 degree left at the end of the straight behind 3 cars :o Hawk pads would have pulled off that speed in a very short distance with light pressure
