The League Virtuoso alloys which are on my RT are more or less FWD Ford fitment at 6.5J ET40 and for my taste they sit way too far into the arches. Guess work by eye I thought ET15 might be closer to the mark as mentioned in the other thread, so I took a punt on some cheap TSW Pace alloys in 6.5J ET15 (slightly too large hub bore as 4x108 ET15 is common on older Peugeots/Citroens such as the 205GTi).
Just given them a try on the rear of the car and they're perhaps 7mm proud of the arches, so that's no good. ET23 is another fairly common size, so might see if I can try something in that offset for size.
Whether any of the above would hit on unmolested arches when the car's laden I couldn't tell you, but there's one way to find out. Certainly on the rear there's over 2" of travel before it gets close to the arch which seems like a lot given how stiff the setup is at the moment.
Will keep posting my findings if it's of interest to people, even if it's just useful as a reference.
Incidentally, I wasn't overly convinced about the TSWs before trying them, but actually they looked quite smart on the car.

Re: Stylus RT wheel offsets
ET15 refers only to the classic because the RT is wider by 50mm . The rear will be simple , just put thinner or wider spacers on as they have spacers anyway using the English axle. The front you need to get right though . There's a rim curving inwards on all arches so you need to drop a plumb line down from the body then measure from that to the inner curved edge. Then measure the hub face to the plumb line --- the difference will give you the offset with some maths . You have to assume the wheel will pass the inner rim otherwise you'll never be able to change springs or set the car up.
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Re: Stylus RT wheel offsets
Yep - made the assumption that the RT spacers would be the same width as the increase in body width but looks like they actually aren't. To be honest I'm quite happy to trim the inner arch lip a little if it comes to it. With the current ride height I can't see that there would be any clearance issues as the arch gaps are huge even with a laden car. From what I can see of photos online, the demonstrator RT is running much lower offset than my car - difficult to see if the arches have been trimmed though.
I'm a terrible pragmatist: Trial and error all the way... still, if I settle on anything I'll of course post measurements and pictures!

Re: Stylus RT wheel offsets
Picked up a set of wheels the other day (no idea what make they are but split 5-spoke in style) in 7J ET35. Fit seems fairly good but need to check them with rubber on. Photos to follow...

As promised, new wheels finally on - here's a photo from a blast through the Chilterns yesterday with a friend's MX-5.
