Chassis gauge

Post by DH2 »

Numpty question...

So I can get some appropriate steel stock before I get the grinder out, can anyone tell me what gauge/thickness the steel used on my '97 chassis is?
Obviously I can find out by chopping a bit out, but the metal shop will have closed before I get chance to do that, and it will cost me a week of elapsed time.

Originally I was told chassis tube was 1.4mm's thick but any I've used since has been 1.6mm's
