This is the car sat on the floor. ride height is not set but for reference the passenger side rear is 10mm higher than the drivers side. (190mm to 180mm at the rear of the seat pan)
I stand in the drivers seat then jump up and down a few times.
Thoughts/Comments anyone?
Edit: I've just dropped the rear ride height as low as is safe on the seats before the springs are loose. Ride height is now 175mm approx at the rear. This gives me 1-2mm clearance between the rod and the diff....

Your ride height is high , taking the chassis end panhard pick-up with it --- hence your video It's just bad design panhard fitting wise but with your weight the problem is exacerbated due to needing height to acheive rake. A lighter man wouldn't deflect the springs as much , so covering up that very design fault --- hence Tim's mod as soon as he joined the company.CMA wrote:Interesting video for comments...

Blimey, the rod is flexing around the diff! That can't be doing much for either item and I would suggest that the panhard rod will break if it keeps flexing like that. And is the noise the springs?
Re: Blyton Track Day 15th April
I fitted the new Rob supplied panhard rod on Saturday, rear ride height lowered a bit. Stuck 8 clicks of damping on the rear and went out for a run yesterday. Not noticed much difference yet but with all the pot holes and other road users you can't really push it as much as you can on the track.
So the big test will be on Sunday the 27th May. Back at Blyton and hopefully the backend with behave a bit more this time.

Well, sunburnt to hell and got a big smile on my face. First few laps today and the back was more planted but still a little too lively and loose. People kept saying change damping soft/hard front rear, stick softer springs on.
I ignored everyone as I had Robs words ringing in my ears and raised the front ride height (was going to lower rear but not as easy to access). 1 full turn higher on the front and BAM! the car became much more chuckable into the corners, all 4 wheels well planted, got some temp into my Toyo T1Rs and started smiling from ear to ear
Still could prob do with another 1/2 turn on the front but I was enjoying it too much to change it
Still grinning now even though I think the engine is on its way out of the car as it's blowing too much oil out of the breather (1/2 a litre on the drive home!) either that or I might give Mr Dunnell or Mr Raceline a call with the credit card details

There you go Rob , now you understand what makes a chassis tick you can experiment more accurately , using your own knowledge . Write down all your settings , drive it , remember it then adjust again etc , keeping all the settings tried and the driving experience ---- eventually you'll arrive at '' your own '' perfect set-upCMA wrote:Well, sunburnt to hell and got a big smile on my face.
