STYLUS HARDTOP
I have a contact for those looking for a Hardtop, Ivan at http://www.fibretech.info/aboutus.html has made a one for his own car that has lift out sides creating a T-bar style roof. He has moulds and is prepared to make others.
You can contact him on 07751 362051 or ivan@fibretech.info

Re: STYLUS HARDTOP
I'd prefer it if it continued down each side , leaving the boot still able to open BUT it would never go over a race roll bar anyway
I just love the Stylus but she keeps swallowing £££ !

Re: STYLUS HARDTOP
This hardtop looks great - and the addition of the lift-out panels makes it pretty usable. The only thing stopping me from saying "I'll have one" is having to make a call about whether or not it's going to rain that day before setting off.
Now, seeing as he already clearly has a good mould for the screen attachment, what are the chances of him fabricating some decent hood rails for soft tops?

OR ------------------------- even zip outable soft sections rather vthan the hard lift outs . Then you could just go off without bothering to think wet/dry ------------ simply unzip and you're in the open airjosephmoore wrote:This hardtop looks great - and the addition of the lift-out panels makes it pretty usable. What I meant by the sides extending to the rear was --------------- just the fibre glass sides going down to the very back of each rear wing SO making it DAYTONA look This hardtop finishes very abruptly , looking a little out of flow design with the car body.

Re: STYLUS HARDTOP
Sent a few emails back and forth to Ivan earlier and the hard top's fairly reasonably priced given the work that has to go into it.
Regarding hood rails, he estimates (I won't hold him to these prices!) that he could replicate the hood rail he's got for about £70, or if there were a batch of 10 get the price down to £50. Who was interested in getting hold of one previously, as I certainly am and a discount of £20 isn't to be sniffed at if there's an opportunity for a group buy.
That is assuming we're not treading on any toes by getting more than one-off 'stock' parts replicated by a third party company? I can't see it being an issue, but you never know how people might react, eh...

I wouldn't worry about it Joe --- look at the bits I make for guys cars , Tim is aware and not botheredjosephmoore wrote:Sent a few emails back and forth to Ivan earlier and the hard top's fairly reasonably priced given the worth that has to go into it.

Good stuff - that's the answer I expected, but it's always worth checkingstylussprinter wrote:I wouldn't worry about it Joe --- look at the bits I make for guys cars , Tim is aware and not bothered
So who'd be interested in a hood rail? I'll probably get one either way, but if others are interested it makes sense for everyone to club together for a batch.
Re: STYLUS HARDTOP
I'm interested in having one. I don't need it yet, but at that price I can't say no.

What sort of price was he talking about for the hardtop?josephmoore wrote:Sent a few emails back and forth to Ivan earlier and the hard top's fairly reasonably priced given the worth that has to go into it.
Re: STYLUS HARDTOP
About £450ish with fibre glass panels, a lot more if you want them in Carbon.

Re: STYLUS HARDTOP
Can't really see the point in using carbon other than for the pose-factor. They're not structural parts and glass will be more than stiff enough.CMA wrote:About £450ish with fibre glass panels, a lot more if you want them in Carbon.
I make that 3 of us that want a hood rail - anyone know anyone else who might not have seen this thread that would be after one? I think unless someone wants to stock up on them it's unlikely we'll make the 10

Re: STYLUS HARDTOP
The main point in using carbon would be the weight factor not posing I reckon the hardtop will be pretty heavy as it is so a decent amount of power would be needed or you'd notice it
