Yesterday I went to Barkston Heath sprint. A private day organised by RHOCaR (Robin Hood Owners club) so for my £50 I got loads of practice runs and 6 timed runs on 2 versions of their course.
First 2 timed runs came in with a 63.085 and 63.004 so consistent times albeit a bit slow
In the afternoon they took out the final chicane to give a different configuration and my best timed run was 60.362
By no means was I anywhere near the fastest as some bike engined single seat grass tracking type cars came in at 51 secs in the morning and 48 in the afternoon.....
The tight twisty track highlighted my extensive oversteering issues that still prevail (how I long for some understeer!)....need to work something out as I cant push hard enough on the normal road to get a feel for any changes and booking track time costs ££.
All in all a fun day for £50 and got to scrub in my new R888s on my new wheels.
To give you an idea how tight the track is this is someone elses run a few years ago on the circuit without the final chicane: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6awFellmic
Now I just need some tuition and pointers to improve my track driving as I know I can improve with the right advice.

Hi Rob
Sounds like a lot of fun for £50 !
You have a Schumacher car - front end bolted down, rear end all over the place
I sat in a GD T70 at Goodwood a couple of weekends back... just doing the numbers to see if i can afford to build one.
Interesting to compare Barkston video's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_RKJAUq4cg

Understeer's easy enough to adjust provided your shock settings / tyre pressures are as I advised in a PM to you a long time back ----- lower the rear = understeer or higher the front = understeer but just watch your piston travel available once seated in the car
