OOh yes please! measurements and photos would be great - might rose joint the ends as I'll be making up new ones.CMA wrote:I ended up with the arms, sorry.
If you need any measurements or pics of them to copy give me a shout as they're not getting fitted until the middle of November at the earliest.
Alex , just a note of warning regarding rodends for the trailing arms ------- only rodend the chassis end (1/2 inch is plenty strong enough) BUT not the axle end unless you plan to fit 3/4 inch shank because all the suspension weight is taken at that end , as the shock/spring mount is just 100mm's from the axle . They will snap --- 31000 lbs linear weight is the spec for N rodends but divide that by 10 for weight in shear as MattD can confirmnorma wrote:OOh yes please! measurements and photos would be great - might rose joint the ends as I'll be making up new ones.CMA wrote:I ended up with the arms, sorry.

Indeed... Chassis mount end only !!stylussprinter wrote:norma wrote: Alex , just a note of warning regarding rodends for the trailing arms ------- only rodend the chassis end (1/2 inch is plenty strong enough) BUT not the axle end unless you plan to fit 3/4 inch shank because all the suspension weight is taken at that end , as the shock/spring mount is just 100mm's from the axle . Not really,no. The rear suspension needs something structural to hang off, so need to build up a frame in the rear of the chassis.stylussprinter wrote:Did you cut out the steel sheet seatpan because you were short on space for the independant suspension diff nose Dave
Sounds simple doesn't it? I frequently despair at the amount still to do... just got to try not to think about it, keep chipping away at it, and telling myself it is going to be a hell of a car when it is finally finished (hopefully)!stylussprinter wrote:It's getting there , so once the wishbones are made up and fitted , you'll romp away Dave
