All lagging is now removed, just have rusty looking pipes that need painting :D

Quick update:

Thanks for the advice (particularly Rob) removing the lagging from the manifold, putting the holes in the underside of the sill and lining the wing and most of the sill (it's a near impossible job to do when the body and chassis are together!) has made a significant difference. I have however left the silencer wrapped as per Tim at SSCs advice, apparently he double wraps his and has had no trouble. The top of the wing is warm but not hot, and the sill is surprisingly cool, its nice to no longer worry about it when in traffic!

I've also been able to confirm the engine is operating at approx 85 degrees, rather than the 70 on the gauge, looks like a poor earth.

So pleased you did that , I know it's emotional cutting large chunks out of the beautiful bodywork on a Stylus after you've spent hours building it.
You wont regret it . :) :) :)
