Just completed a brim to brim fuel/mileage check , of mixed driving . Half the total mileage of 275 miles was just running around locally , literally 10 mile journeys max with some 2 miles so very ineffient . The rest was over the weekend on dual carriageway , M25 and A3 , cruising between 60 and 90 mph. Average for this mix of roughly 50/50 driving was 39.33 mpg mpg and since remapping the dash readout reads high by 4.17 mpg. (showed 43.1 mpg on dash)
So motorway is 44.43 mpg on long runs , 4.17 less than the 48.6 mpg showed when driving home after my Angel remapping. Happy with that plus I'm pushing it harder.

wow! thats pretty good for a sporty diesel, my 3.0tdi does 30-35 depending upon driving distance/style.... so best of both worlds for you eh?

Yes , really pleased with it . If you're not trying to check mpg and driving smoothly then it's a lot of fun . When accellerated hard it's difficult to catch . I bought some Millers diesel ecomax today , so after adding the stuff didn't really expect to notice anything -- well , it does say on the bottle there'll be an improvement in 100 to 200 miles. It was actually immediately noticable on throttle response , accelleration too . I suppose it does contain 4 extra cetane but I assumed the advantage would only begin once all the system was cleaned up etc.
Premium diesel is plus 6 to 8p a litre(27.3p per gallon at best) but the Millers works out at 11.81p a gallon so if the Alfa manages another 2mpg the Millers will be a bargain
I'll be monitoring this tank full

Just re-insured the Alfa remapped and all for £368-50p full comp , and if I need it they'll track insure it for £85 the day ------- that is extremely cheap for trackday cover
Hastings Direct my existing insurers don't want to know about a remapped car , CHRIS KNOTT came in at £492 , FLUX 'y at £415 which I damn near accepted , till GREENLIGHT phoned to quote me , after I'd emailed them via the ALFA ROMEO forum to quote the £368-50p ----- wow
I thought it was way too risky not to mention the remap etc --- if the worst happened then a wise assessor discovered the DPF/EGR mods and remap job , I could be £13,000 down if it was written off
