That's interesting as a friend of mine had to pay 400 when he changed from a phase 2 Zetec to a phase 3 just for the remap!

Thats very interesting
, still it's cheaper than a new set of TB's every time you change engines, hopefully i won't have to worry about that for a year, unless a cheap Duratec comes my way
, my main aim is to concentrate on set up and weight saving
, that said i need to start eating more salad
.

Some companies with rolling roads seem to think they can charge you £400 plus a day for there services. I can remember taking a Westfield (CVH with Dellortos) to Janspeed (Salisbury) 10+ years ago & that cost 100s then.
When I enquired about programming the Stylus Iv had figures from £60 - a local "Max Power" co to £200 for a guy in a shed (ok, being cruel a respected guy in a shed).
I now have a system which maps itself via the lambda. Just needs miles & of course the correct target map. Its not really getting there though. May have to take it out of the garage.

I've just taken my zetec powered car to Mech Motorsport in Cheltenham.
Engine is on Omex ECU & Jenveu TBs.
I had a tweaked version of the start up map I had from Omex originally, which I sprinted on Sunday.
The guy spent 4 hrs setting it up properly, taking 25% off the fuel supply & about 28' off the ignition advance curve at top end.
Not suprisingly its much better now !
£320 inc Vat, plus a Big Mac to get sorted. I was well happy with that !
I got quoted £500+
, "you'll have to leave it with us for a few days"
(No Chance!), etc from other places, so it pays to shop around.
